Whatever you’re celebrating, few places are as beautiful as the deck of a yacht on the night of full moon over San Diego. Enjoy champagne, an elegant dinner, and plenty of time to stargaze on the outdoor deck with the ones you love.
The Full Moon Cruise includes a 3-hour cruise aboard a luxurious yacht on San Diego Bay; boarding glass of champagne or sparkling cider; a delicious 3-course dinner; a professional DJ for music requests and dancing; views that change with the courses; and the on board opportunity to add hors d’oeuvres, California wines, and premium dessert options.
The next round of Hornblower’s Full Moon Cruises will be on March 5-7. The cruise leaves from San Diego Grape St. Pier 1800 N. Harbor Dr. at 7:00 p.m. Boarding time is at 6:30 p.m. Price: $76.95 per person (tax, service charge and landing fee additional). Hornblower sails rain or shine. In the case of severe weather conditions or upon the direction of the U.S. Coast Guard, the ship will remain dockside, but provide the full dining service. For dining cruises, vegetarian meals are available and can be arranged at the time of booking. If you have a group with many vegetarians or if you have vegans, please notify a reservations agent at the time of booking. If you have food allergies or other dietary restrictions, please let your reservations agent know at the time of booking. We can also accommodate most other special dietary needs with advance notice.
Since Hornblower Founder and CEO Terry MacRae purchased a small charter yacht business in 1980, the California-based company has focused on one mission: delivering premier, high-quality dining, entertainment and cruise experiences. Today, the company cruises from seven California port cities and New York City. It also operates two National Park Service concessions and will begin service at the Niagara Falls Gorge in 2014. Guests choose Hornblower for vacations, weddings, corporate outings, galas and more.
Throughout more than 30 years of operation, Hornblower has made environmental protection and preservation a priority. The company launched its pioneering environmental management and education program, Respect Our Planet, in 2005. The initiative shapes sustainability measures, such as sourcing green products, using reclaimed and eco-friendly materials in new yachts, improving fuel efficiency and incorporating wind, solar and hybrid technology into vessels when possible. Respect Our Planet also educates guests on Hornblower’s green efforts and shares suggestions for sustainable living.
Regional and national organizations regularly recognize Hornblower’s environmental outreach, respected cruise offerings and steadfast commitment to quality. Hornblower Hybrid took Most Significant Boat of 2012 honors from Workboat Magazine. The San Francisco Business Times named Alcatraz Cruises a Green Business of the Year in 2008, one year after bestowing Most Admired CEO of the Year honors on Hornblower Founder and CEO Terry MacRae. The Knot.com users voted Hornblower their top pick for Orange County weddings and receptions in 2007, and Hornblower San Francisco received a 2006 CORY (Commercial Recycler of the Year) Award. The company and its employees have also been recognized by the California Travel Industry Association, Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International and a number of meeting planner organizations and tourism bureaus.
