North San Diego County is the perfect place to enjoy community events! If you are looking for a great way to get together with friends who live in San Marcos, try Car Show Sundays and ArtWalk at Restaurant Row. The next one is coming up this weekend, on Sunday, September 1st from 1 to 5 p.m.
If you have friends who live in Vista, plan to attend a local event later in the month. Either way you’ll be able to enjoy the local experience that makes having North San Diego County home so great.
The car show is a really diverse event, with car clubs from all over San Diego. Many participants even live in San Marcos! You’ll see exotic cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, and Porsche on display alongside many race cars, hot rods, classics, and modified drag racers. If you love cars, this is the place for you.
Cars are not all you’ll find, however. Artists and crafters live in San Marcos, too, and ArtWalk is the perfect place to find them! Local artists and artisans exhibit their work along Restaurant Row and since both events are in the same location and free, it makes this gathering hard to pass up! Click here for more information about the individual events and enjoy a fun afternoon out getting to know the artists, car enthusiasts, and residents who live in San Marcos.
If you call Vista home, you’ll want to join the Vista Historical Society for an afternoon of great music and socializing later in the month on Saturday, September 21st. The Vista Historical Museum grounds and museum will open at 2:30 p.m., giving you an opportunity to explore this fascinating local treasure and learn about Vista’s interesting history as the city, noting how it grew from a sleepy farming town to the bustling city we love today. Click here to visit the Vista Historical Museum homepage.
Come early to the Museum event as the swinging tunes start at 4 p.m. when the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame Orchestra begins to play. This 17 piece professional band includes excellent vocalists and their strong rhythm will have you dancing and swaying along for sure! Attendance is not free, tickets are $15 per person or $25 for two, however the entertainment will be well worth the cost. Tickets also include beer, wine, and other beverages, although you can bring along a picnic supper to enjoy while being serenaded by the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame Orchestra. Find out more by clicking here and invite your friends and neighbors to join you at this event so close to your Vista home. Go out and dance – all ages are welcome at this fabulous North San Diego County home town event!
