Fourth of July is almost here, and there are so many fun ways to spend the day here in North County. But whether you’re cooking out, hitting the beach, or taking in a parade, make sure to end the day with a bang! North County San Diego is the place to be for amazing fireworks displays, and we’ve got the round-up right here.
Vista Independence Day Celebration
Head to the Moonlight Amphitheatre in Vista for their Independence Day Celebration, happening on Thursday, July 4, from 5 – 10 pm. The event includes military honors, a live concert by The Mar Dels, and a spectacular fireworks display. The fireworks begin at 9 pm. Admission is $5 and parking is $15 for cars and $30 for RVs.
Escondido’s 56th Annual Independence Day Festival & Fireworks
Escondido is sponsoring a free community Independence Day Festival & Fireworks beginning at 4 pm on July 4. There will be live music, food trucks, a beer garden, and several games and activities for kids of all ages. The 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band will play, and the fireworks begin at 9 pm.
Oceanside Fireworks Show
Oceanside is hosting their annual Fireworks Show starting at 9 pm. Visitors are encouraged to arrive beginning at 6 pm, as the event is popular and draws a large crowd. You may park in the business park and walk to the viewing area, located on Rancho Del Oro Road. The show includes live music and food trucks, and the event is free.
LEGOLAND Red, White, and Boom
Head to LEGOLAND in Carlsbad for their Red, White and Boom celebration on July 4. The event happens from 1 – 9 pm and the fireworks show begins at 8:30 pm. Enjoy picnic games, a patriotic costume parade, live performances, character meet and greets, and of course fireworks. The price of admission to the park includes all the holiday activities.
San Marcos Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza
The City of San Marcos is also getting in on the fun with their Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza. The event is taking place at Bradley Park and begins at 6 pm. The event features live music, children’s activities, and food vendors. You may bring beach chairs or blankets to sit on the lawn. The fireworks show begins at approximately 9 pm. The event is funded entirely by donations from San Marcos businesses and residents.
San Diego County Fair’s Fireworks Spectacular
Finally, if you want a show that will knock your socks off (perhaps literally), then be sure to check out the San Diego County Fair’s Fireworks Spectacular. Happening on July 4 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds on the Corona Grandstand Stage, the show includes more than 3,600 aerial displays. The show begins at 9 pm and the fireworks are launched from the west side of the racetrack. They can be seen throughout the fairgrounds, with the best views at the Grandstand, Fun Zone, and Family Funville.
