It’s Still Summer at the Pacific BeachFest on October 3!

Visitors and residents of San Diego are welcome to “Discover the Action” this year at the annual Pacific BeachFest on October 3. This one-day event is perfect for visitors looking to enjoy all that San Diego beaches have to offer. Whether traveling or walking from your house down the street, young, old or somewhere in between Pacific BeachFest has something for everyone!

Best of the Beach Fish Taco Contest: Be part of the 7th Annual Pacific BeachFest Best of the Beach Fish Taco Contest! The people of San Diego will decide who has the best Fish Taco.  Six restaurants will provide fish taco samples to attendees for judging from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Tickets are $10 and include 6 tacos, the best deal in town! The 2015 lineup includes Pacific Beach Shore Club, Sand Bar Sports Grill, Bub’s Dive Bar, The Fish Shop, The Local Pacific Beach, Baja Beach Café, and the2014 Winner, Sandbar Sports Grill.

Live Music: Throughout the action-packed day thousands of BeachFest goers can enjoy live music on three stages. The Main Stage featuring world beat dance music, the Community Stage featuring the best talent in PB, and the Grand Stage where the hottest DJs and Reggae will be featured in the San Diego Craft Beer Garden. The 2015 Community Stage features 11:00 to 11:40 AM, Crown Point Jr. Music Academy; 11:50 AM to 12:20 PM, Old School Skaters; 12:30 to 1:00 PM, Tap Fever Dancers; 1:20 to 1:45 PM, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Frostie; 2:05 to 2:30 PM, Millionaire Beach Bums; 2:50 to 3:40 PM, Big Daddy Blues Band; 4:00 to 4:50 PM, MBHS Preservationists; 5:10 to 6:00 PM, INDN SUMR. Kids Action Alley: Pacific BeachFest is a party for all ages, featuring Kids Action Alley, where the youngest dudes and dudettes will be kept busy with beachside rides as well as other free fun games and activities. Local community groups from Pacific Beach will welcome you to the neighborhood with goodies and fun activities.

PB Craft Beer Garden: Craft beer is back for the 2015 Pacific BeachFest beer garden. Come enjoy tastings from some of your favorite local craft breweries! Participating Breweries include Belching Beaver, Mike Hess Brewing Co, Iron Fire Brewing Co, Green Flash Brewing Co, Karl Strauss, and Coronado Brewing Co.

Local Shopping: Shop and browse among the dozens of fine arts & crafts displays and visit the many eclectic shops and popular restaurants in this laid-back beachside community at the Pacific BeachFest Merchant Sidewalk Sale. Many Pacific BeachFest local businesses will have booths set up so you can browse all the neighborhood hot spots.

Getting to Pacific BeachFest is easy. From the north: Take the I-5 south and take exit 23 for Mission Bay Dr.  Follow signs to the beach and Grand Ave.  Take Grand Ave. to the beach. From the south: Take the I-5 north and take exit 23a for Mission Bay Dr. Follow signs to the beach and Grand Ave. to the beach.  From the east: Take the I-8 W and take exit 1 for W. Mission Bay Dr. Follow W. Mission Bay Dr. to Ingraham St. From Ingraham St., turn left onto Grand Ave and follow to the beach. Parking information can be found on the event website.
