Halloween is only one week away! Are you still looking for fun events that you can enjoy with the whole family? Here’s a round-up of what’s going on this week in communities throughout North County. So get those costumes together and let’s have some fun!
Halloween in the Village
Downtown Carlsbad is hosting an afternoon of free, family-friendly Halloween fun on Saturday, October 26. Halloween in the Village will include arts and crafts, a pumpkin patch, games, a Doggie Costume Contest, and safe trick-or-treating at businesses throughout the village. This fun event takes place from 3 – 6 pm, with the Doggie Costume Contest happening at 4 pm. The first 500 participants get a free Trick-or-Treat bag for all their loot!
Brick or Treat Party Nights at LEGOLAND
It’s not too late to enjoy all the spooky fun at the Brick or Treat Party Nights at LEGOLAND. The final night of the season happens on Saturday, October 26, and includes live entertainment, character meet and greets, costume contest, treat stations, a dance party and much more. Your ticket also includes entry into the SEA LIFE Aquarium. Tickets start at $64 per person and can be purchased in advance online.
Halloween Candy Drop in Fallbrook
Candy falling from the sky? Count us in! Head to the Palomar RC Flyers in Fallbrook on Sunday, October 27, at 10 am for the Halloween Candy Drop. Watch as radio-controlled aircraft drop Halloween candy from the sky while kids scoop it up from below. This event is free and can’t be missed!
Dia de los Muertos in Oceanside
Head to the Old Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside on Sunday, October 27, for the 19th Annual Dia de los Muertos celebration! This event is fun for the whole family and includes live entertainment, altars, a chalk cemetery, car show, arts and crafts, food, and an all-new Kids Zone. Touted as the most traditional, safest, and most family-friendly Dia in Southern California, this is a great place to spend the afternoon with the kids. While there, tour the mission, which is a National Historic Landmark that has been here for more than 200 years. Tickets are only $2 per person, $3.50 per couple, or $6 for a family of four.
Trick or Treat Halloween in Vista
The City of Vista is getting into the spirit with Trick or Treat Halloween. This free event happens on Thursday, October 31, from 4 – 6 pm in the Vista Civic Center parking lot. It will feature fire engines, squad cars, goodies, kid-friendly crafts and more.
Haunted Sunset Market in Oceanside
Finally, don’t forget to check out the Haunted Sunset Market in Oceanside on Thursday, October 31. Happening from 5 – 9 pm, the event features trick-or-treating at vendor booths for kids ages 12 and under. There will also be a costume parade on the main stage at 6 pm. You can also enter contests for the evilest laugh and the most blood-curdling scream at 8 pm on the main stage.
